Back to the train station again. :") |
Just in case you all are wonder why I put the title as the southern tip, it is because Hakodate is located at the southern tip of Hokkaido. It is the center of administration, economy and culture in southern Hokkaido. Hakodate is also the Japan's first port of international trade and are well verse with various foreign cultures. And yes, it is our destination on day 5. :) As usual it is a very lovely city in deed.
more photos after the jump...

I think I am obsess to all these signboards. Specially those in train station. :"P |
Inside the train, departing real soon. |
Arriving at the Hakodate. We decide to go around the area near by. I think the area is pretty hugh, so we have decided to pick a few attractions to visit. our first stop is the Hakodate Factory. It is like a mall which a lot of shops in it. Where most of the shops sell the Hokkaido local merchandises. (ranging from food, souveniers, clothes and etc...)
There have quite a lot of mailbox in front of this mall |
Thay have a hand craft studio in the mall as well |
While waiting for our meal. |

I love the view here somehow. |
The breeze is just nice... |
I think there are quite a lot of attractions on top of the mountain. and most of the road up hill is pretty steep and luckily we have a ladder to climb up to. (But still it is still pretty tired for the feet). :"P
On our way to the top. (Up Up and Away!) |
LB is just gorgeous. :) - Cheers! |
LB having some rest on the ladder. |
Over here LB. :) |
Before I go in, I noticed a mother and daughter came out from the building and looking at the painter |
There are quite a lot of churches here. |
Found a Japanese temple here as well. |
So I decide to walk down and get some shoot - It is under renovation I think. |
After a long walk, we decided to go up on the tram again. (Since we already bought a one day pass.) We decided to go until the last tram station in Hakodate, get down and get some walk. The last tram station is pretty close to the sea. We could hear the sea as well as feel the wind after we get down from the station. But too bad, the beach is pretty much blocked by houses and barrier. (And there are dogs at the back of each house). So in the end, we just walk around that area and for me, getting some shoots for LB. :"D
Yes our tram ride - almost miss this ride due to this shoot. :"P |

Walking towards the sea while enjoying the view around. :") |

A pose one. :") |
After that, we decided to go and took our dinner at our of the burger chain which is only available in Hakodate. It is called Lucky Pierrot. It is highly recommended by a lot of people (in a lot of books as well). So I decided to give it a try and see what is so special about the burger. But after I tried it. I am in shock. (Yes, silence... looking at LB) Telling LB that how nice is the burger. :"P Anyway I highly recommend you all to give it a try (at least once), if you all do stop by at Hakodate. It will bring your burger expection to the next level. ;"D
I just took a super nice Chicken Burger here (Lucky Pierrot). |
And yes, the night view on Mount Hakodate. (It is rated as one of the top 3 nigth view in the world). Probably due to it's geographical shape. I think it is best for the landscape shooter to go earlier (may be 1 hour before) to get a good spot. and setup your tripod and ready for the big shoot. There will be quite a lot of people there when the night come. Anyway I didn't really have a tripod with me, so I apologize for some creepy landscape night shoot I have here. :"| (I guess this is the best I could have with my bare hand + on the 2nd row of the crowd). :"P
Such a great view. :) |
And finally it is just another bokeh night I love. :") |
Alright, I guess that's all I have for tonight. It has been a great weekend so far I guess. Spending times with LB on Sat (we watched expandable) and spend some slow and easy time together. and for today, finally I completed one long pending task. (I washed my car finally). ;") Anyway I think this weekend has been pretty fruitful. Hopefully, it will be a great week next week. Have a great evening people. Cheers.

Joel: Thanks. Bet it will be better if I brought my tripod along. But too bad I am not. and my tripod is so freaking heavy. So I bet my hands is my tripod when I am making that shoot. No matter what, glad that you like it. ;)
ReplyDelete小慧: Hehe, sounds like a good formula. but the 2nd variable will still need to work hard more so that more pretty & great photos could be produce. Thanks for the support ya. :)
